In a nutshell
Burn every book. Kill every author. Save the world from the taint of knowledge for the God of Ignorance.
About Quote
Quote is an action role-playing game about a world that’s out of ideas. Bliss, god of ignorance, has eradicated all wisdom and learning from the land, claiming this will save it from chaos - but now knowledge is returning…
As Novella, priestess of Bliss, you must purify the world of knowledge. Bludgeon the thoughts from the heretics' heads, burn every book, kill every author. It’s the only way to save the world from itself..
You’re not alone. Your mysterious avian sidekick, Tatters, is here to help. The bizarre bird-man has an insatiable hunger for the blasphemous, so feed it well and your powers will grow.
Brawl your way across a beautiful but ravaged world, finding quotes, destroying books and bludgeoning the wise in Bliss’s name. But can the written word truly be destroyed?
Darkly charming, Quote is inspired by games such as Little Big Adventure, as well as the works of revered authors such as Vonnegut, Carter, Bradbury, Eco and Huxley.

- Dish out divine retribution with over 20 unlockable powers allowing you to brawl and sneak your way across a corrupted world.
Background
TeamRobin Lacey was the co founder of both Beatnik Games (Plain Sight - 2010) and PLA Studios (whose clients range from Universal Music to the British Army).
Evan Lovejoy is a fine art illustrator from London who specialises in weird beasties and warped environments.
Vindit (named after the Bokononist concept of a sharp shove towards harmless untruths) was quietly founded and kept secret until it had something worthy of talking about.
Quote has been made with the help of a number of other incredibly talented individuals - listed below.
Project backgroundRemember that game you played when growing up? The one that seemed utterly magical? We want to make a game like that. Something people can get all mushy and nostalgic about in the pub years from now.
Quote was released on Early Access on 31/1/2017. The game will be finished during 2018.
It’s a game for anyone who has taken solace in a book, anyone who has decried the data-saturated ignorance of the world, and anyone who loves ambiguous third-person narratives. That’s you, right?
